How To Creat an APP through XML.

If you have 5 to 10 minutes keep reading, else JAVA and the Android part encompasses learning XML for the design of the app.

I will keep this answer simple lest filling it with several links. Jotting down hw i started :

• Took the first step with New Boston videos. Travis made some really cool videos, he made the starting so easy and it stirred me up quite well. But i got bored midway after watching around 25 videos so i thought of venturing beyond those videos.

• Those 25 videos gave me enough confidence to play around and do some Proof of concepts. Those POCs were a to-do app and a file manager. For quick hold of certain topics i followed this site :

I found the site very simple and to the point. The official Android Guide keeps you right on the track. That’s it, from then on i started exploring more and would google whenever i was stuck. Once you start developing an app Stackoverflow is the one stop solution for any issue. Most of your issues are already discussed, if not you can post it there.

Going further, i became eligible to be a part of the development team of an enterprise syncing application in my office and in my spare time developed one music player app.

Develpment : To put it briefly, these are the steps you may follow.

1. Create a splash screen, which will contain your logo and title.

In your AndroidManifest.xml file make your splash screen activity as Launcher activity.

2. From the splash screen activity you need to call a service where you'll have to query the Android MediaStore.

3. Start an activity where you would show a list of the songs bypopulating a ListView with the obtained Cursor.

4. I have only one activity which am clearing and changing the listview by artists, albums, favourites, etc.You may split these into a few activities or fragments to handle song list.

5. Now you can set on click listener and on long click listener for two different operations, also you can add a button(say) in every list item for a particular option.

6. I have implemented a action option in every list item on clicking of which opens a new activity with detailed menu like send, delete, rename, add to playlist etc. This can also be achieved by implementing action overflow :

7. Now click of a song in the listview should play that song. I start a new now playing activity showing the album art and the basic options like next, previous, pause, equalizer etc.

8. In the now playing activity, on click of equalizer button start Equalizer activity. Here, the presets can be set and the bands & the bass booster can be customized. Make sure you code in such a way that this activity is never killed when a song is playing otherwise you lose the equalizer preset levels and suddenly the audio level would change.

9.Use sharedprefernces wherever you require to save changes even after the application is stopped or device is turned off. I use it to save which equalizer preset was last enabled, if repeat/shuffle was cheecked in, the theme last shown etc.

10.Make you listing activity searchable in the AndroidManifest.xml file and implement searchview in the activity.

Implementing all these steps i developed this music player.

4. There after Download and Install Terminal emulator as usual. click here

5. Then, Launch Terminal Emulator as usual on your Android device.

6. And, then type $su and now press Enter.

7. Now again type $busybox iplink show eth0 and then hit Enter. This will show you mac address for your confirmation.

                       

8. Now again, type the following command,

$ busybox ifconfig eth0 hw ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

9. Replace, XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX  with you victim's Android mac address which you got  in the first step.

10. Now, you have successfully changed your Android device mac address, You must confirm this by typing the following command, $ busybox iplink show eth0

To Install WhatsApp Account with Victim's phone number

1. Go to Play Store and Install WhatsApp Messenger.

2. Enter the victim's phone number instead yours.

3. Finally WhatsApp will send confirmation message to your friend. Then, once again, get the victim's phone, and then get the confirmation message and enter it into your phone to verify the account and that's all.

You can use it to get more clients, land more contracts, get a job interview, internship or any type of negotiation.

Enough of this, now let’s jump to the technique.

Imagine…

…you went for an interview.

The interview is for your dream job. So you definitely did a lot of preparation and research.

And so your interview went just fine.

You answered many of their questions and skipped some difficult questions (like everyone else).

And it was turning a good interview overall.

Then something magical happens:

From your briefcase you pull up a 5-10 page document.

This document contains the solution to the current problems of the company and how you’re gonna solve them.

So for example, if you’re a iOS designer going for a job interview for Paytm. You come up with a detailed plan discussing their design problems in their iOS app and then you briefly describe the solution to these problems and exactly how you would solve them.

Do you know what just happened here?

Basically, you used astonishing preparation to get selected or close the deal and when you do this correctly, there’s no holding back.

In fact, imagine it from the interviewer’s point:

He got a detailed document of all the design problems in their iOS app. And for him, it’s “The most compelling document”.

Then, there’s nothing that can hold you from getting that job.

Next time, you get any interview call, do these things:

1) Research about the company, job and the key responsibilities as much as you can. Remember if you can’t research about a job, well you’re not fit for that job.

2) Slave away for hours to find the goals of the company and the possible problems or hinderance.

3) Finally, create a detailed solution for those problems describe exactly how you would solve them.

That’s it!

UPDATE 1: Many of you guys, asked me what if the company is a big MNC.

For example Google, Amazon or ,let’s say, TCS.

Then, this method won’t work very well. Because these MNCs have got multiple departments and each department has got numerous goals.

Also, it’s very difficult to find problems in their product.

In that case, here’s what I recommend…

Know your job beforehand, research as much as you can for that job and write a tailor-made resume for that job.

For example, if it’s Microsoft and you’re applying for Project Manager.

Then, write a resume for that job, show your experiences, your achievements and all that.

Remember this whole technique is based on your preparation.

More you prepare, more are your chances of getting selected.

It doesn’t matter which company is interviewing you.

Be it a small business, a startup or any MNC.

UPDATE 2:

Now it’s getting funny. Because many people are saying that this technique will get OUTDATED as more and more people will start using it.

Well, I don’t think so.

Because, let’s say, if I’m an email copywriter and I apply for a job of “Website Copywriting”.

Do you really think, I can figure out the problem in their website copy?

No. I can’t.

Because this job doesn’t excite me. And i don’t know a single thing about that.

So don’t worry about this method. It’ll never get outdated.

Funny thing is, most of the people will get excited after reading this technique.

But, a small proportion of them is actually going to take action.

Because it takes real hard work to find potential problems and their solutions.

You need to slave away for hours and weeks.

So only those people will get the job who’re really passionate and who hustle a lot.

If you’re really passionate about the job nobody can stop you. Provide some value and show them you’re the best person to work with.

Here’s how you can do this:

1. Write a detailed actionable plan for that job. Explain how you can solve their current problems and ask for a minimum time to execute it.
2. Work for free. I know you got to pay bills, but that’s why you don’t land your dream job. When you work for free you show them your calibre.

If you’ve prepared for that job and you’re really passionate about it. Then guess what?

You will get the job, no matter, what.
