What are some good Eating habits?

Let us know some good eating habits:

- drinking a glass of water before you eat
People confuse thirst for hunger.  Staying hydrated and drinking water prior to a meal can reduce what you eat.

- serving your meals on smaller plates
People tend to finish their plates regardless of size.  If you're at a restaurant, you could box a portion of your meal immediately so you don't finish your plate.


keeping unserved food away from the table
- not watching TV while you eat

Prevents you from mindlessly picking at food.

understanding how caffeine affects your body
For most people, coffee suppresses appetite for a bit before your body crashes and hunger kicks in.  There is some research that claims caffeine has a similar effect on your body to insulin.

I've modified my morning routine 
from: Eating -> Drinking Coffee -> Crashing and Eating again
to: Drinking Coffee (suppress appetite) -> Crashing and Eating
Purely anecdotal, but I think I eat less a result.
